Research Interests

Biological-optical interactions in the upper ocean, phytoplankton pigment biochemistry,
intermediary metabolism in marine plankton, regulation of algal photosynthesis, controls on carbon
isotopic fractionation by marine phytoplankton, and pelagic trophodynamics.
