RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests
focus on the systematics and ecology of marine fishes. I am interested in small, cryptic
fishes such as the blennies and gobies and have been involved in taxonomic studies of
these groups. I also am interested in phylogenetic relationships and am studying the
genera of the toadfishes worldwide. My ecological interests relate to resource
partitioning between closely related species and community structure. I currently am
conducting comparative studies between Western Atlantic and Pacific cryptic fish
communities.
