Research Interests

As part of the Coral Reef Ecology Lab since 1993, I have worked on a wide range of projects that have focused on both introduced and endemic species. My involvement with the Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program since its inception in 1998 has led to research related to anthropogenic affects on coral reefs and biogeographic spatial patterns. I have explored a number of anthropogenic impacts that influence nearshore reef condition including aspects of human trampling and indicators of decline in coral reefs in the Main Hawaiian Islands.
