20 cm DC field (2.8 MB)

   This clip shows juvenile sandbar sharks biting at a 20 cm DC field. The poles of the field (positive and negative) are highlighted in red. Note the repeated biting at both positive and negative poles of the electric field. My results show that sharks are attracted to electric fields that range in size from 2 to 20 cm.
