Lynette Egusa

A counselor in the Financial Aid Office, Lynette Egusa is the recipient of the Pulama ‘Ike Award. She counsels students and the community on all aspects of financial aid.

Egusa was instrumental in bringing College Goal Sunday, a national event that helps families with the complex financial aid process, to the Big Island by recruiting volunteers, planning activities and serving as on-site coordinator.

“She has counseled thousands of students and families and has helped them obtain millions of dollars in financial assistance, making a university education possible for students who otherwise could never have attended,&#rdquo; said a nominator.
