Kilohana Miller is an assistant financial aid officer in the student affairs department at University of Hawai‘i Maui College. He is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that one more student or one more community member has access to get into college and succeed.

Miller has helped the Pai Ka Mana Student Support Service Program multiple times and donated his time to hold financial aid presentations for 160 Maui and Moloka‘i students on a semester basis. He shows great dependability and competency when presenting information and answering questions regarding financial aid, scholarships and other financial assistance matters that students may want to know about.

Miller is described as an amazing team player who is always willing to lend a hand. He is a dedicated, intelligent, capable, personable and enthusiastic person who embodies the word service.

The University of Hawai‘i Maui College Chancellor’s Award recognizes a civil service or administrative, professional and technical employee for outstanding demonstrated work performance, service, leadership and/or fostering of excellence in higher education.
