UH Manoa Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Service
Service Award Winner
A janitor assigned to the Biomedical Science Building, LeVonne Kukahiko loves the building and cares for it like it is her own home, supporters say.
Her energy and dedication were especially evident following the devastation caused by fall semester flooding. The disaster required not only cleanup and debris removal, but also a great deal of packing and moving to new quarters. Medical school administrators praised Kukahiko’s "primary leadership and extraordinary service."
Kukahiko has been a UH employee for 16 years.
