A buildings and grounds maintenance employee for the Institute for Astronomy, Darlene Wong has worked at the university for 18 years. She has been the head custodial leader for IfA for the past several years.

For the annual IfA Open House, she directed a coordinated effort to ensure that the large facilities would not only look their best for the public, but that the cleaning efforts would be safe and environmentally-friendly. She also planned and worked with her crew to provide needed parking assistance for the event’s many visitors.
