Linda Maeno
Information Technology Specialist Linda Maeno provides computing support for University of Hawai‘i at West O‘ahu faculty. With 26 years of IT experience, she has proven to be a valuable asset to the university.
Among her many contributions, Maeno helped West O‘ahu faculty offer more online or WebCT-enhanced courses by creating online tutorials for students taking distance delivered courses. She developed and implemented a plan to transition West O‘ahu’s course management system and provided applicable technology-related workshops for faculty, staff and students.
“She has handled a changing teaching environment and growing workload with a combination of professional knowledge and enthusiasm that should be publicly acknowledged, encouraged and rewarded,” noted a colleague.
The UH West O‘ahu Chancellor’s Award recognizes a civil service or administrative, professional and technical employee for outstanding demonstrated work performance, service, leadership and/or fostering of excellence in higher education.
