Company Description
Masa Fujioka & Associates (MFA) is a multidisciplinary, Hawaii-owned and -operated, professional partnership specializing in environmental, geotechnical, and hydrogeological services. The firm, founded in February 1991, operates from the Halawa Valley Industrial Park, centrally located on the island of Oahu.

MFA's specialties include: (1) environmental planning and permitting; (2) regulatory compliance; (3) site investigation and remediation; (4) design and implementation of remedial services; (5) landfill design and consultation; (6) research in the geological sciences; (7) geotechnical engineering services; (8) construction dewatering consultation and system design; and (9) technical writing.

MFA has a history of achieving site closure where soil and/or groundwater contamination has been identified and has been at the forefront of developing and implementing remedial technologies in Hawaii. Remedial approaches and services available through MFA include: (1) soil excavation and removal; (2) bioremediation; (3) air sparging/vapor extraction; (4) groundwater recovery and treatment; (5) physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems design; and (6) free product recovery.

MFA's current staff of sixteen includes four geologists, a health and safety specialist, a soil scientist, a hydrogeologist, three geotechnical engineers, a geochemist, an environmental engineer, a technical illustator, a field technician, and adminstrative support staff.
