A research project can also be an engineering project involving the design, building & testing of something; or it can be a field study where data is gathered through observation.

Junior Display (Grades 6-8):
A display project explains or demonstrates a scientific principle, apparatus, technique, design or application. It usually does not pose a hypothesis or include experiments but is based on fact-finding through extensive library research & other sources.
