Graduate Teaching Assistant
Bryant is currently a third year PhD student in the American studies department. His undergraduate degree is in cinema studies from the University of Washington and also has an MA in cinema/television: critical studies from the University of Southern California. His primary research interests are in sports, new media, and cultural studies. His dissertation will examine the sport of mixed martial arts and its relationship with contemporary popular media such as video games, television, and the internet.
