Claudia Pummer
Guest Lecturer


Claudia Pummer teaches courses in the Critical Studies track of the ACM curriculum. Her research and teaching encompasses a range of topics in film theory and history, including transnational European cinema, the representation of gender and ethnicity, classical Hollywood genres, and political avant-garde practices. In addition, she approaches film and media from an artistic point of view. Aside from making experimental videos, she has taught introductory courses in digital film/video production. Claudia received a Ph.D. in Film Studies from the University of Iowa and holds a M.A. in Film/Theater Studies from the Free University of Berlin with an auxiliary major in Jewish Studies from the University of Potsdam, Germany.
