ACM PLAYS TO CAMPUS ON HAWAI'I , KOREAN FILM INDUSTRIES

ACM's Director Chris Lee led a lively panel of folks discussing Hawai'i's Film Industry at the UH Law School. Those in attendance heard him, as well as state Film Commissioner Donne Dawson, Sen. Carol Fukunaga, and attorney Bill Meyers talk about how far the film industry has come in Hawai'i, and both encouragements and roadblocks to its development.

ACM also hosted two of Korea's biggest film producers, and the head of the national Korean Film Council in a forum that related how Korea's film industry has come to dominate Asia. ACM professor Wimal Dissanayake led the discussion.

ACM students can take advantage of these special events that link the professional film and media industry with the classroom. Students who do attend find themselves armed with a much greater knowledge of where they can succeed and excel in professional life.
