Douglas Dykstra
Douglas Dykstra was appointed chancellor of Windward Community College July 1, 2009 after serving as vice chancellor for academic affairs at Hawai‘i Community College since 2004.
His previous administrative experience includes service as acting dean of instruction/vice chancellor for academic affairs at Leeward Community College for four years.
Dykstra holds a master’s degree in secondary education–community college curriculum and instruction from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa and a master’s degree in history, focusing on United States diplomatic history, from Kent State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Thiel College.
