Angela Meixell
Angela Meixell has been chief executive officer of the Windward O‘ahu community college campus since 2002 after serving two years as interim provost.
Meixell first joined the UH system in 1980. She served as state director of the Employment Training Center, which provides programs in basic skills and vocational training to the state's at-risk population, from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, she was an assistant dean at Kapi‘olani Community College, with responsibility for managing external academic grants and vocational programs, and director of administrative services, preparing a $20 million budget and overseeing fiscal and personnel services for the Kapi‘olani campus.
Meixell earned both her master's and doctoral degrees in educational administration from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. She has taught in both public and private schools as well as at the Manoa campus.
