Regent
Mark Fukunaga
As chair and CEO of Servco Pacific, Mark Fukunaga leads a Hawaii-based, diversified corporation with annual revenues in excess of $650 million. Servco’s businesses are in automotive retailing and distribution, appliance and home products distribution and commercial insurance services. Servco’s investment portfolio includes holdings in Fender Musical Instruments, Hawaiian Telcom, Hoana Medical, Nippon Golden Network, Tissue Genesis and other private companies. He joined the board in 2009.
Fukunaga sits on boards of several companies, including Fender Musical instruments, Nippon Golden Network and Outrigger Enterprises, and of schools and other nonprofit organizations, including KCAA Preschools, Pomona College, Punahou School and the University of Hawaii Foundation.
He has lectured on business organizations at Chaminade University, Hawaii Pacific University, Punahou School and the University of Hawaii.
Before joining Servco in 1988, he was a corporate attorney with the New York office of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and worked in the Washington, D.C., office of Sen. Daniel Inouye.
Fukunaga earned a BA from Pomona College and a law degree from the University of Chicago.
