FAQ - Visiting the Campus

  1. How do I arrange a campus tour?
    To schedule a campus tour, use the Online Campus Visit Request Form, or call (808) 956-7137 or toll-free (877) 447-3233, or email visituhm@hawaii.edu.

  2. When are campus tours offered?
    Campus tours are offered on weekdays, excluding holidays. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, tours begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, tours begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. Tours include a short meeting with an admissions counselor and a campus tour conducted by a current student.

  3. How do I get to the UH campus from the Honolulu International Airport?
    The University of Hawaii is located approximately 10 miles from the Honolulu International Airport. Taxis are available outside of the baggage claim area. The cost is approximately $25, not including driver tips. Hawaii Super Transit also operates a shuttle service to UH for $15 per person. Prior reservations are required. Call them toll-free at 1-877-24-SUPER. Prices are subject to change so please confirm the latest costs with the taxi or shuttle service.

  4. What hotels are located near the UH campus?
    The Waikiki area would provide the greatest selection of hotels, all located conveniently close to the University of Hawaii. Waikiki is just a short 5-10 minutes away from the UH campus. In addition to taxis, several shuttle services provide transportation between the Honolulu International Airport and Waikiki.
