The immediate beneficial impacts of the workshops were confirmed by highly favorable evaluations that were conducted daily and at the conclusion of each workshop. In addressing AHEAD’s objective to enhance the overall quality of agricultural higher education administration, instruction/curriculum, research and extension at the Universities of Mosul and Dohuk, these workshops proved to be the most effective short-term component of AHEAD’s Plan of Work so far.
A “capstone” workshop is planned at the University of Hawaii in late April / early May, 2005 for high level leaders and administrators of our partner universities. It will focus on Administrative Planning for Agricultural Higher Education using the “Land-Grant” concept as a driving theme.
