University of Hawai`i Historic Preservation Program

Informational Resources

Hamilton (graduate) and Sinclair (undergraduate) Libraries together provide the largest collection of information and research materials in the State. With more than 2.6 million volumes and over 38,000 current periodicals and serials, it is the 44th largest library in the U.S. Its on-line catalog provides access to other local and national indexes, specialized databases and library catalogs throughout the nation. The interlibrary loan service makes available research material from other institutions, nationally and internationally.

The Historic Preservation Program maintains its own collection of preservation resource material, including books, serials and periodicals, student research papers, films, video and audio tapes, and material from preservation-related programs, government offices, non-profit and community organizations, both domestic and international. The material is available for reference use and short term loan.
