For UH McAfee VirusScan Home Edition Users (current and former):

If you registered with McAfee when you installed VirusScan Home Edition(not the VirusScan Enterprise version), you may receive email from McAfee(subscriptions@mcafee.com) with subject "Service Notification: McAfee VirusScan Renewal". The email will say that your McAfee VirusScan anti-virus protection expires on such and such date and will provide a link to renew or upgrade.

If you are currently an active UH faculty, staff, student or affiliate, please ignore the email. You do NOT need to renew or upgrade your McAfee anti-virus subscription. The University of Hawaii (UH) Information Technology Services (ITS) has paid for your anti-virus subscription through a site license agreement with McAfee. If you prefer not to receive email from McAfee, click on the unsubscribe link provided in the email.

Remember: upon termination of employment or student status at UH or affiliation with UH, all copies of McAfee software obtained through the University of Hawaii, Information Technology Services site license must be uninstalled.

If you have any questions, please contact the ITS Help Desk (call 956-8883, email help@hawaii.edu).
