Task Force Rainier 2008
During August and September the University of Hawaii ROTC Program produced a team of the best eleven cadets including two females for the 2008 Ranger Challenge Competition.
The competition consisted of a land navigation written test, negotiation of a rope bridge, practical land navigation, hand grenade course, M16 course, the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), and 10-kilometer rucksack march. The competition was scheduled for the first weekend of October, and was held in the state of Oregon against ten teams from the Pacific Rim and West Coast.
The Warrior Battalion Ranger Challenge Team placed first as the 2008 Task Force Rainier Champions!
PACRIM 2005
Honolulu, HI, USA - Cadets of the University of Hawaii Army ROTC Warrior Battalion Ranger Team participated in the PACRIM Ranger Challenge competition on 20-22OCT05. The competition was held at Bellows AFS in Waimanalo, Oahu, Hawaii. Cadets competed in written and practical land navigation exercises, the Army Physical Fitness Test, rope bridge, M16A2 disassembly and reassembly, land grenade assault course, and a road march. The University of Hawaii Army ROTC Warrior BN placed first this year defeating the University of Alaska - Fairbanks and the University of Guam.
