Training & Ranger Challenge NCO

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Keven F. Duncan was born in Tyler, Texas on 6 January 1970. He graduated from Whitehouse High School in May of 1988 and entered the United States Army on 13 September 1989. He graduated from Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma as a Cannon Crewmember (13B).

SFC Duncan’s stateside tours included Ft. Ord (California), Dugway Proving Grounds (Utah), Ft. Polk (Louisiana) and FT. Drum (New York). His overseas tours are Germany, Hawi’I, Bosnia-Herzegovina and a recently return from his second combat tour in Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom).

SFC Duncan’s awards and decorations include a Purple Heart, Bronze Star (Bronze star), , Army Commendation Medal w/Valor, Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Good Conduct Medal ( 1 Silver Knot), National Defense Service Medal (2 Bronze Stars), Iraqi Campaign Medal (Bronze Star), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon(Numeral 3) , Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2), NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist’s Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drivers Badge and German Bronze Schutzenschnur Badge.

SFC Duncan’s military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, the Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, First Sergeant Course, Hazardous Material Drivers Training Course, Unit Prevention Leaders Course, Explosive Hazards Awareness Training-Trainer Course, Ammo-62 Course, Cadet Command Faculty Development Course, Airborne School, and Air Assault School.
