BIO
Drexler maintains studios in both New York and Oahu and her work is informed by her unique bi-coastal experience. Her large-scale canvases are imbued with the light and color, translating the inner experience into outer form through a vigorous athletic painterly process. Recently, she has returned to the theme of a series of abstract solar paintings made in the late 1980’s – reflecting the meditative experience of merging into the sun. Her project “Staring into the Sun” is the culmination of this exploration.

Solo exhibitions include: Berlinerkunst Project (Berlin), Blue Mountain Gallery (New York), Fridge Art Fair (New York), Honolulu Museum of Art (Honolulu), HP Garcia Gallery (New York), Maui Arts and Cultural Center (Maui) and White Box’s Annex (New York). Group shows include: AFP (New York), Denise Bibro Gallery (New York), Exit Art (New York), and Stephan Stoyanov Gallery (New York).
