307, 308B + 308C Portfolio Review
Must have completed ART 202, 206 and 207

Reviews occur each semester within one week of registration. Date will be announced via photo-listserv.

Students who have been accepted through any one of the 307, 308B or 308C reviews will have automatic entry into the other two 300-level photography courses. Although acceptance is automatic, these qualified students are individually responsible to sign-up in the appropriate review list in order to obtain closed courses access code for restricted course registration.

Portfolio Review Criteria

Portfolios should contain approximately 10 pieces demonstrating technical proficiency in skills covered in prerequisite classes, ability in conceptual development, and basic understanding of critical approaches.

or in other words -

1. that you have learned the skills and techniques covered in earlier classes

2. that you can come up with an idea and know how to develop the idea into a visual project

3. that you have begun to discover how you can look at your own work and works by others, formulate an educated opinion, and explain how you came up with that decision
