Undergraduate

The Photography Program has two components; still-photography and digital animation.

The still-photography component explores photography as an artistic medium that interconnects with other disciplines and media. Techniques and craft are emphasized along with critical inquiry, history, and theory. We offer six undergraduate courses (206, 207, 307, 308B, 308C, and 407) and
graduate seminars. In each course students are introduced to a selection of new techniques and processes, and given opportunities to develop independent bodies of work. Our aim is provide an environment where beginning artists can hone their craft concurrently with a vigorous investigation of its meaning in the context of contemporary art.
