Undergraduate

The undergraduate printmaking program at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa offers both specialized and cross disciplinary focus and facilities in the media of intaglio, lithography, screenprint, and relief printing techniques. Hand-worked and photo-graphically developed approaches are instructed in all media. Completion of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in printmaking designates one who has experienced a multi-disciplinary instruction across the medium, including historical, theoretical, and contemporary issues relating to the art of printmaking.

The graduate printmaking program focuses on the refinement of a personal aesthetic as well as a conceptually based approach to the print. Graduate students in printmaking endeavor to master technical and material applications while developing the significant expression of personally relevant imagery.
