Lew Andrews received his M.F.A. in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in art history from Columbia University. He teaches courses on Renaissance and Baroque art, on visual narratives, and on the history of photography. He has published studies on Renaissance art and on photography; he is currently working on a book about Edward Weston and Jean Charlot.
