Komelia Hongja Okim

A solo exhibition by Korean-born Komelia Hongja Okim features the silver hollowware and figurative forms for which the artist has become well known. Many of the works are in the Kum-Boo (Korean gold-foil overlay) technique, a challenging and traditional process rarely pracitced today.

Okim’s art relates to the concept of Feng Shui, and focusses on the dynamic relationship between humans and their surroundings and the need to live well, peacefully, and harmoniously.
