Oh Won Bae

The paintings and drawings of Oh Won Bae are internal landscapes that trace his struggle to express the socio-cultural reality of an age which has known fear and a future, although tempered by hope, may become more pitiful. Oh believes that experience cannot be expressed in a form of art unless it is thoroughly internalized by the artist. Perseverance and endurance have determined the course of his work and change has occurred with the logic of an intensive formative consciousness, not through effortless methologogical borrowings.
