Bob Emser was born in Illinois in 1954. He holds a BA, 1976, from Eureka College, Eureka, Illinois and a MFA, 1978, from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois. He is on the board of directors of the International Sculpture Center and is president/co-founder of Chicago Sculpture International. His work has been shown in 4 continents, 7 countries, and 23 states in the United States.

My sculpture is more than a spiritual reference to the pioneering machinery of aviation or nautical history; it is about the belief in one's self. The simpler the execution of an idea, the more pure is the concept or soul of the piece.
