Born in Minneapolis in 1974, Laura Heit has a BFA, 1996, from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a MA, 2003, from the Royal College of Art, London. A filmmaker, illustrator, and designer, director and performer of puppet theater, she has toured her solo performance piece The Matchbox Shows, wherein tiny puppet shows are presented within the stage of a matchbox. She has made several award winning animated films including Look for Me commissioned by Channel 4, London.
