Helping Hawaiian Immersion Students
Thirty-one new books developed and published by Manoa Associate Professor Noeau Warner of the Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language are finding their way into the hands of Hawaiian immersion students across the state.
Each book is aimed at helping children and beginning learners and above to learn specific grammatical structures, vocabulary and/or ways of speaking that have been problematic to teach.
With a modern day focus and illustrations by Native Hawaiian and other local artists, the books resonate strongly with local children.
