Collection Overview

The Hokkaido Collection is the largest in the United States. It covers Hokkaido, Sakhalin, and the Kuriles. In 1966-67, with the support of the late Professor Shunzo Sakamaki, the Library acquired the extensive holdings of the Hakodate City Library on microfilm.

To access materials in the Hokkaido Collection at site, please read the Access Policy and make an appointment in advance. (Access Policy Japanese version)
