South Asia, Resouces from the Indian Subcontinent, Australia,
Germany, Tibet Studies, and Buddhist Studies.
- DSAL (Digital
South Asia Library)
A global collaborative effort to make important
and rare resources available to the international community.
DSAL will digitize and scan an array of important resources
from a variety of institutions including CRL, the South
Asia Microform Project, the Committee on South Asian
Libraries and Documentation, the Association for Asian
Studies, the Library of Congress, the Asia Society,
the British Library, the University of Oxford, the University
of Cambridge, MOZHI in India, the Sundarayya Vignana
Kendram in India, Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya in Nepal,
other institutions in South Asia, and leading universities
in the U.S.
- CONSALD
(Committee on South Asian Libraries and Documentation)
Provides links to a list of CONSALD members, the executive
committee, meeting minutes, as well as links to South
Asia Library Consortia.

Asia Consortium West (SACWEST)
A Consortium of South Asia Collections at five University
Libraries: UC - Berkeley; UCLA, Univ. of Hawaii, Univ.
of Texas, and the Univ. of Washington. Includes pages
for the consortium agreement, subject profiles of participating
institutions, and s oon to include bibliographic guides
to finding information on a variety of South Asia related
academic topics.

Collection of memorabilia, personal papers, correspondence,
photographs, early publications, ephemera, posters,
newsletters of early community organizations, and realia
of the early South Asian immigrants to the United States,
Canada, and other parts of the world. Located at the
University of California, Berkeley.

Asian Diaspora -- Journal and Magazine Articles
This is a select list of journal and magazine articles
on the South Asian Diaspora that have been indexed by
two online journal indexes; Uncover and Expanded Academic
Index. The list is being prepared as part of a Roundtable
Presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Association
for Asian Studies, March 10, 2000. It is a work in progress.

Asia Videotapes at the University of Hawaii at Manoa
Lists of South Asia videotapes by country. These videotapes
are available only to University of Hawaii students,
faculty and staff at the Wong Audiovisual Center in
Sinclair Library.

Asian Women's Network
A forum for south asian women, and those interested
in issues relevant to south asian women. `South Asia'
is taken to include Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India,
Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The mailing list is restricted
to women only by the consensus vote
of the members. However, everyone is welcome to the
information on the WWW pages.
- Trikone
A non-profit group for lesbian and gay South Asians.
Founded in 1986 in the San Francisco Bay Area, Trikone
is the oldest group of its kind in the world. It's goal
is to bring women and men of South Asian heritage together
in a friendly, supportive, and non-judgmental environment,
and to promote awareness, visibility and acceptance
of alternative sexuality in society. Trikone proudly
affirms both its South Asian identity as well as its
sexuality. Lesbian and Gay South Asians.
