General Information

Microsoft Office helps you complete common business tasks, including word processing, email, presentations, data management and analysis, and more.

Minimum System Requirements

• A Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later
• A Mac OS X compatible processor that is PowerPC model G4 (500 MHz or faster) or Intel/PowerPC G5 or higher
• 512 MB of RAM
• 1.5 GB of free hard disk space for default installation
• HFS+ hard disk format (Mac OS Extended)
• DVD drive
• 1024 x 768 or higher-resolution monitor
• Entourage and some features require Internet access

ITS Supported Version

• Office 2008 for Mac

Departments may purchase this software through the ITS Site License Office. UH faculty, staff, and students may purchase the most current version of Microsoft Office for personal use through the Microsoft Academic Personal License Program (APLP). Additionally, this version of MS Office may be available from other computer software retailers.
