Microsoft Exchange Email Service: Using Your iPhone with the UH Exchange Service

ATTENTION: Microsoft Exchange Service account is required for this to work. Please DO NOT perform these steps if you don't have an Exchange account.

From Your iPhone

1. From the Home screen on your iPhone press Settings.
2. Choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account...
3. Choose Microsoft Exchange
4. In the Email field type in <UHUsername>
5. In the Domain field type in hawaii.
6. Enter your UHUsername and Password in the appropriate fields.
7. In the Description field, you can leave it as the default or change it to something meaningful to you (i.e. UH Exchange Mail).
8. Press Next and the phone will verify your account. You may get a verification failed message, if so, just press continue to proceed to the next screen.
9. On the next screen you will have a new field for Server. Enter and press Next.
10. You will now be on a new Exchange menu.
11. Select on or off for your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.
12. Press Done.
13. Press the Home button on your phone to return to the Home screen.
14. Press the Mail icon and you should now see your Exchange account listed in your Accounts.
15. Select your Exchange account to interact with it.

Changing Exchange Sync Settings

1. From the Home screen on your iPhone press Settings.
2. Choose Mail, Contacts, Calendar
3. Choose your Exchange Account.
4. From the Exhange ActiveSync screen you can change settings such as if you want to sync your Mail, Calendars, and Contacts. You can also change the amount of days to sync mail and which folders are synced to your iPhone. There is also an option to Delete Account from the phone.
