Anti-Virus Software Download VirusScan Enterprise 8.8

Step 2. What anti-virus software package do you need?

Since you have a PC using Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 2003 server, Windows Server 2008, Windows server 2008 Release 2, Windows Server 2012 or Windows 2012 Server Release 2, you will want to download McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 Repost with Patch 4.

Step 3. Read and understand the installation instructions.

Before you download the actual anti-virus software, please review the installation instructions.

Step 4. Download the VirusScan anti-virus software

At this point, you will need to

  1. Go to the main Download Page.
  2. Click on Click here to login to the software download site.
  3. Login with your UH username and password, then click on Login.
  4. Enter all required information, and select the software you have chosen above.
  5. Click on the Download button.
  6. Save the file to your local hard drive.

Step 5. Install the VirusScan anti-virus software.

Locate and double-click on the appropriate application (.ZIP) file you downloaded in Step 4 to begin the installation process for your VirusScan software. Be sure to carefully follow all the installation instructions you viewed in Step 3.

Step 6. Run AutoUpdate

VirusScan's AutoUpdate feature will automatically update the software to the current DAT at the end of the installation. Should the initial DAT update fail, run Update Now to manually update to the current DAT.

  1. Right click the vshield icon in the system tray.

    For Windows 7/8/8.1: click the up arrow (show hidden icons) in the system tray and right click the vshield icon.

  2. Click Update Now.

Congratulations!

Your computer should now be protected against viruses and malware. Reminder: please be sure to use the AutoUpdate feature in your software to have the latest in protection.
