Since you have a PC using Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 2003 server, Windows Server 2008, Windows server 2008 Release 2, Windows Server 2012 or Windows 2012 Server Release 2, you will want to download McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 Repost with Patch 4.
Before you download the actual anti-virus software, please review the installation instructions.
At this point, you will need to
Locate and double-click on the appropriate application (.ZIP) file you downloaded in Step 4 to begin the installation process for your VirusScan software. Be sure to carefully follow all the installation instructions you viewed in Step 3.
VirusScan's AutoUpdate feature will automatically update the software to the current DAT at the end of the installation. Should the initial DAT update fail, run Update Now to manually update to the current DAT.
For Windows 7/8/8.1: click the up arrow (show hidden icons) in the system tray and right click the vshield icon.
Your computer should now be protected against viruses and malware. Reminder: please be sure to use the AutoUpdate feature in your software to have the latest in protection.
