Departments may purchase this software through the ITS Site License Office. UH faculty, staff, and students may purchase selected versions of Microsoft Office for personal use through the Microsoft Academic Personal License Program (APLP). Additionally, this version of MS Office may be available from other computer software retailers.
The 32-bit version of Office 2010 is recommended for most people, for compatibility with other 32-bit applications, for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems. See Microsoft article for more information.
In WinXP, open Internet Explorer to http://www.update.microsoft.com to download the latest Microsoft Office updates.
In Vista/Windows 7, click the Start button, click All Programs, and click Windows Update.
