Clearing your web browser's cache

Firefox

  1. Go to the Tools menu. (In Windows Vista/Windows 7, click on the Firefox menu in the upper left corner of your browser window)
  2. Select Clear Recent History.... (In Windows Vista/Windows 7, this option is under the History menu)
  3. Under Time range to clear select Everything and click Clear Now.

Internet Explorer 7

(Note: CTRL-F5, is a shortcut for 'refresh' and 'clear cache')

  1. Go to the Tools menu and click on Internet Options.
  2. Click on Delete.
  3. Click on Delete files.
  4. Click Yes.
  5. Click Close, then OK.

Internet Explorer 8

(Note: CTRL-F5, is a shortcut for 'refresh' and 'clear cache')

  1. Go to the Tools menu and click on Internet Options.
  2. Under the General tab, in the Browsing history section click on Delete....
  3. In the Delete Browser History window, make sure all of the checkboxes are checked (if you want to keep your passwords saved in the browser, uncheck that box) and then click on Delete.
  4. In the Internet Options window, click OK.

Internet Explorer 9

  1. Press Alt + X on your keyboard.
  2. Select Internet options from the menu.
  3. Under the General tab, in the Browsing history section click on Delete....
  4. In the Delete Browser History window, make sure all of the checkboxes are checked (if you want to keep your passwords saved in the browser, uncheck that box) and then click on Delete.
  5. In the Internet Options window, click OK.

Safari

  1. Go to the Safari menu and select Empty Cache....
  2. Click on Empty.
