My Thunderbird email is running slow.
If you are also running McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i, uncheck "decode MIME encoded files" in the McAfee on-access scanner.
1. Right click vshield icon in the system tray.
2. Click On-access Scanner Properties.
3. Click All Processes icon in left pane.
4. Click Advanced tab.
5. Uncheck "decode MIME encoded files" in the Compressed Files section.
6. Click Apply, OK.
