How to upgrade to the latest ITS site licensed version of Webroot Spy Sweeper

The current version of Webroot Spy Sweeper is version 5.5. It supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. It does not support Windows servers and 64-bit Windows. The ITS site licensed version includes anti-spyware protection only, no anti-virus. For anti-virus software, go to http://www.hawaii.edu/antivirus/.


   1. Open your web browser to http://www.hawaii.edu/software.
   2. Login with your UH Username (user@hawaii.edu) and password.
         User@hcc.hawaii.edu, user@soest.hawaii.edu, etc. will not work.
         Click button to login to software download site.
   3. On download page, enter the number of licenses you will be using for your download.
         Normally, this number is one. If you're installing multiple copies, e.g. for a
         computer lab, enter comments explaining in the Comments box.
         Click Download Spy Sweeper button.
   4.  Active UH faculty/staff include any faculty/staff currently employed by UH 
         or a UH affiliate. Upon termination of employment at UH, all copies of
         Spy Sweeper obtained through the UH site license must be uninstalled.
         Read Spy Sweeper license agreement. Click "I Agree" and Continue button.
   5. Serial Number Information - user will need to write down or
         copy/paste the 20-digit keycode which is needed to install the
         software. Click Download software button.
   6. Save the software to your desktop. Remember the location.
   7. Double click on the saved file (sspsetup1_1.exe) to install the software.
       Filename for Spy Sweeper 5.5.7.124 is uhssp557124.exe.
