You must have VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i already installed before you can install Patch 5.
Patch 5 must be installed for VirusScan Enterprise 8.5 with DAT 5201 (1/4/2008) or later and scan engine 5200 (or later).
Patch 5 is required for Windows XP (SP3) and Windows server 2008 support.
INSTALLATION STEPS
1. Download VirusScan Enterprise 8.5 Patch 5 from http://www.hawaii.edu/software/.
2. Save the file (vse85p5.zip) to your desktop. Close your web browser.
3. Double click on the vse85p5.zip icon to unzip the files. Save the unzipped files in a temporary folder.
4. In the temporary folder, double click on setup.exe.
5. The Patch Wizard will run. Click Next until the installation is complete. Click Finish.
6. After the patch is installed, restart your computer.
VERIFYING PATCH INSTALLATION
1. Right click on the vshield icon in the system tray.
2. Click "About VirusScan Enterprise".
3. "Installed Patches" should be "5".
4. Click OK.
