In
a city of diverse stages and great strength, ATHE and AATE invite
you to shape the future by transforming your theatrical dreams
and imaginings into action. As New York City and our nation continue
to rebuild, discover how the theatre we teach and perform reflects
our nation’s new reality.
Draft a new theory about the future of theatre. Create a vibrant
theatrical collaboration with another discipline. Design a unique
performance space. Build an innovative environment for learning
at all levels. Construct your own blueprint for tomorrow's theatrical
skyline.
AATE
and ATHE, two nationally-recognized nonprofit membership organizations,
will combine their knowledge, expertise and vision in presenting
state-of-the-art learning opportunities.
The
goal of this joint education forum is to impact the effectiveness
of the profession of theatre education through a long-term vision
of the role of theatre arts within the school, the community and
society at large. Trends in pedagogy, arts funding, promotion
and tenure, theatre training within the corporate world, and other
topics of immediate concern to professionals at all levels of
teaching and performance.
