Resolution passed by the Landscape Advisory Committee on September 14, 2007.

Whereas, the Mo`ili`ili community is an important neighbor of the Manoa campus; and

Whereas, there is an entrance to the Manoa campus from the adjacent Mo`ili`ili community; and

Whereas, the use of Hawaiian names furthers the Manoa Strategic Plan goal of improving the campus' "Hawaiian sense of place"; and

Whereas, the Mo`ili`ili community entrance is currently being renovated and landscaped:

Be it resolved:

The Board of Regents of the University of Hawai`i is encouraged to officially name the Mo`ili`ili community entrance the "Mo`ili`ili Gate."
