<div class="descr">It's time for the Annual Kalihi Business Association Christmas Parade. This fun event is HCC's opportunity to represent our campus in the surrounding community. This parade is all about the keiki! We are bringing joy to thousands children of Kalihi for whom this is the only parade of the year. HCC has participated in this parade every year and will be there again this year. The parade is held the evening after Thanksgiving, starting at Kalihi Union Church.

------------------

We do need a count for our delegation so please RSVP as soon as you know that you can attend. Remember this is open to families and friends! All are welcome. Let the whole family experience the opportunity to be together, celebrate Christmas and provide a community service while having fun! --------------------

WHEN: Friday, November 27th, in the evening (the day after Thanksgiving)-- The parade starts at 6:30 PM but our HCC group will gather earlier (about 5:45) to coordinate roles and line up. The parade ends by 7:45 pm (depends on how fast folks walk).
--------------------
WHERE: Nearby in Kalihi-- The parade starts at Kalihi Union Church, 2214 North King St. The route then goes right on Mokauea to left on Dillingham to left on Waiakamilo then left again on N. School Street. Ending at Kamehameha
Shopping Center. Transportation takes volunteers back to cars parked at the church.
--------------------
WHAT: We help escort the candy trolley &amp; keep the
keiki safe. The parade committee relies on us to help guide the parade and ensure that the parade watchers maintain a safe distance along the route. We also distribute candy to onlookers on the left side of the street and sometimes help decorate the vehicles as well. We also provide the personality for Kip the KBA wallaby mascot.
---------------------------
HOW:: Sign up with HCC Student Life &amp; Development - online, by phone or in person

Individuals, groups and families are welcome. Riding options available for those unable to walk the entire route. Any additional questions or concerns? Just contact us and we will be happy to discuss them with you.
