The Female Noh Mask

Presentation by Chizuko Endo, mask maker, musician, and Japanese arts specialist. Endo spent years in Japan studying the art of mask making for Noh theatre, and has made her own set of masks. She will show a selection of masks, focusing on the female characters.

In conjunction with the East-West Center Gallery exhibition "Living Lacquer Traditions" (May 25 - Sept. 7, 2014).
