Education for Girls in Bangladesh

Fariha Kazi is a junior at Mid Pacific Institute who will be giving a presentation and leading a discussion about a project named Education is Priority. She will speak on the lack of education for girls in Bangladesh due to poverty and its relation to forced child marriages.

Ms. Kazi is also collecting books in English for girls in grades 6th-12th and donations of new or gently used books are welcome. You may bring these to the presentation or you can contact the event sponsor below.

The presentation is supported by a faculty member in the History Department together with the Islamic Society at UH.
