Dr. Peter Gruss
President/CEO, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST)

Recognized worldwide for his research in gene regulation and embryonic development, Dr. Gruss was President of the Max Planck Society from 2002-2014. A leader in technology transfer and innovation, he co-founded a biopharmaceutical company and chairs the Siemens Technology and Innovation Council.
