February 24, 7:00pm - 10:00pmKaua'i Campus, Performing Arts Center
"The Vagina Monologues," a play that began as a one-woman off-Broadway show in 1996, has spawned a worldwide movement to fight sexual abuse against women and has been translated into 45 languages and performed in 145 countries. Eve Ensler, playwright, performer, and founder of the "V" Day movement, interviewed women who shared their real-life stories of pleasure and suffering experienced through their vaginas. Audiences are often brought to tears both from laughter and sorrow. A benefit performance to raise funds for the YWCA of Kaua'i; silent auction.
