11th Annual Taste of the Hawaiian Range Food and Agricultural Festival presented by the Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR). Over 20 local celebrity, resort and restaurant chefs will be challenged to prepare succulent dishes using unusual cuts of forage grown beef in combination with country fresh vegetables.

One of Hawai‘i’s premier feasts, the event provides a venue for education to the public on locally produced agriculture and to bridge the production – consumer gap. A Taste of the Hawaiian Range is an expression of the Big Island’s agriculture that shares the pride of farming and ranching communities with visitors and kama’aina.

Tickets: Tickets are $35 per person and are on sale now at Kona Cooperative Extension Office, Kona Wine Market, Kamuela Liquor Store and Parker Ranch Store in Waimea, Hilo Cooperative Extension Office, www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/taste, or call 808-322-4892. Kama’aina Room and Ticket Package: Hilton Waikoloa Village is extending a special kama’aina room and ticket package starting at $229 + tax per room based on availability for the night of October 6. Package rate includes one night stay and two tickets to the Taste of the Hawaiian Range. Valid Hawaii ID must be presented at check-in; credit card guarantees and 72 hour cancellation required.
